3D printing looks like it might just come into its own sometime in the near future. The best part is that 3D printing is a lot more exciting than it sounds.
3D printing isn’t a reference to business cards with fancy graphics – it’s talking about actually printing solid, physical objects using large machines and hard materials. Sculpteo does that with ceramics, silver, resin, and plastics. With the Sculpteo app, users can upload pictures of faces, which will then be made part of a design of an actual object. Users can choose between vases, mugs, bowls and other household items. After the image and design have been finalized, Sculpteo handles the “printing” on their end, then ships it to the user.
