WUHAN, China and JUNDIAI, Brazil – Apple's main manufacturer Foxconn is facing trouble at two of its factories, one in China and the other in Brazil.
Apparently, around 200 employees at Foxconn plant in Wuhan have threatened to jump off the roof of a building in a protest against low wags and working conditions.
Recently, Apple and Foxconn agreed on a deal that aimed at improving conditions at Chinese factories. The deal also promised to increase salaries of workers.
However, workers complain that they are earning less in Wuhan factory and working conditions are also very poor.
While, on the other side of the world, over 2500 factory workers of Foxconn at Jundiai plant are protesting over poor food, lack of water and overcrowded buses. According to the reports, workers have warned to strike if the issues are not sorted out until May 3rd.
A representative for the employees believes that a concordant solution could be reached without really going for the strike option.
