Kanye West is looking to take on the smartphone world having met with Rovio, the development team behind Angry Birds, earlier this month in London.
According a report published by The Sun, the hip-hop legend and controversy magnet wants to expand his business empire and thinks an app would be the perfect way to do this.
“Kanye met the Angry Birds creators at a late-night meeting in the capital,” explained an unnamed source to the British tabloid newspaper. ”It was his idea. They brainstormed ideas and talked about ways they could work together.”
There’s no news on whether Mr. West chose to develop his potential offering for Android or Apple’s iOS. We’re inclined to think this story is far too good to be true.
That said, having ranted on Twitter at the beginning of the month that he was on the lookout for ”managers, doctors, scientists, teachers, car designers, lawyers and bankers”, Kanye may well be about to enter the smartphone market.
