Sadie and Carter Kane have always been able to do strange things that were unexplainable, birthday cakes exploding, and even glass cracking for no apparent reason, but then after witnessing their father’s burial in a magical golden coffin, Sadie and Carter Kane stumble upon a world infested with Egyptian Gods and magic. While discovering they came from a long line of magical ancestors that goes back all the way to the time of the pharaohs in ancient Egypt, they team up with a goddess and their uncle to rescue their father and save the world from another power crazy god that goes by the name of Set. The feat seems impossible considering they have had barely any magical training. Is everything really as it seems? It is a race against time and a clan of magicians called the House of Life that is trying to eliminate them. Can they save the world? Find out in The Red Pyramid. I personally like this book because the author narrated the story by using first person narrators. He made me feel as if I was watching what was happening instead of just reading it. This is the kind of book that you would want to never stop reading, and read it over and over again.
This book is very entertaining; action packed with twists around every corner and a shocker at the end.
“The Red Pyramid” is good if you are looking for an easy way to explain the Egyptian culture, to children.
