That there has been a marked rise in sales of Android tablet, as found out by Research firm Strategy Analytics. The figure indicates as increase by a whooping 300 percent over the same period a year earlier. Android devices now command 39 percent market share of the entire tablet PC in the market today.
The report from Strategy Analytics however does not indicate if it was any particular tablet that accounted for this surge in sales or it was just an overall increase across the board. However, its almost a known fact that its the Kindle Fire and the Nook Tablets that were among the better selling Android tablets and have contributed to this sales surge.
In figures the number of Nook and Kindle Fire sold has been 4 million which amounts to about 40 percent of the total 10.5 million tablets that have been sold.
