Hey folks, we have a nice little leak for you today in the form of a new rugged handset making its way to T-Mobile. The device you see above, provided by a tipster, is the Kyocera DuraForce PRO, a new Android smartphone bound for T-Mobile during the fourth quarter of this year. The device will follow in the footsteps of the original Kyocera DuraForce and DuraForce XD, which launched in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Note a couple of things in the image above: First, there’s a dual camera setup on the back, which is becoming more and more prevalent on smartphones. One of those sensors will allow for better wide-angle photos and video under water, which is compelling given the device will be water and dust resistant. The other is a 13MP lens; you’ll also find a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. There are a few more specs you should know about, including a 3,420mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. We’re not sure where the fingerprint reader is, though, considering we can’t see a visible one in the photo above.
Look for the Koycera DuraForce PRO later this year (Q4, we’re told.) No word on pricing yet.
