OVERLAND PARK and WARREN, USA – Carriers Sprint and Virgin Mobile will both receive the Kyocera Hydro Vibe, and the former network has already began retailing it.
The Kyocera Hydro Vibe is a mid-ranger and features a 4.5-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera, and 2,000mAh of battery capacity. The device also comes in a LTE version that comes with Sprint Spark support.
The Kyocera Hydro Vibe is built tough and rugged, coming with an IP57 certification and a dust-resistant body. The handset can stay submerged in one meter deep water for nearly 30 minutes.
At Sprint, buyers can get the handset through its “Easy Pay” payment plan, where the device is available for just $10/month for a two year contract, whereas at Virgin Mobile they can get it for $149.99 outright.
