What sets this game apart from the previous game is that it will feature four-player co-op instead of just the two, and it will take place in Egypt. Players will control the one and only Lara Croft, a rival named Carter, and Horus and Isis, imprisons Gods and the wife and child of the titular Osiris.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris takes place deep in the deserts of Egypt. In her new adventure, Lara must join forces with rival treasure hunter Carter Bell and imprisoned gods Horus and Isis, to defeat the evil god Set. As Lara and her companions fight the elements of nature across the sands and through ancient tombs, they will battle legendary deities and creatures of myth. With the fate of the world at stake, Lara must recover the fragments of Osiris to stop Set from enslaving all mankind.
Crystal Dynamics states that the game was built from the ground up for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now we just need to see beyond one level because half of the fun the formula was jumping in and out of levels quickly and completing time challenges, point challenges, and secret objectives. So far, it looks like Guardian of Light on the surface, but I’d like to see a little bit more of the inner workings first.
Square Enix has this one marked down for a 2015 release, so there is still plenty of time to see more before Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris launches.
