Everyday brings us closer and closer to the impending unveiling of Samsung’s latest flagship Android smartphone. No one outside of Samsung knows for sure what the the Galaxy SIII will be packing, or what it will look like when it is finally announced.
However, the rumor mill has been churning out rumors on this mystical phone for several months now. The latest batch of rumors, as well as images, might just be the real deal.
At the top of this article is what is purported to be a leaked image from GSMhelpdesk that claims to be of the new phone. It’s a svelte looking phone, and there exists a high probability that this is it. The design matches up with Samsung’s current flagship phone, the Galaxy SII, and as a successor to the throne, the body just makes sense.
The purported specifications for the upcoming phone are as follows. It is said to be packing a 4.7-inch, Super AMOLED Plus HD display, with an HD resolution of 1280×720, which makes perfect sense. It will be powered by a quad-core Exynos CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. Internally it will pack 32GB of flash-based storage, furthermore it may forgo memory expansion via MicroSD as a space-saving measure. Around back it will have a 12-megapixel, 1080p capable camera, complimented by a 720p capable, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G/4G. Finally, Android version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will ship with the device.
So there are very good odds that the phone will ship with the rumored hardware mentioned above. Alas, only time will tell.
