NVIDIA is now rolling out the Shield Experience Update version 7.1 which brings a couple of new features. The company points out that this is the 20th software upgrade that it has released ever since the Shield TV was launched back in 2015. One of the new features that this update brings is in-game voice chat support.
The company is also improving the new GeForce Now beta that was launched a couple of months back. It now has in-game voice chat support so that players can communicate with each other in titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. All they need to do now is connect a headset and mic to the Shield controller’s 3.5mm headphone jack.
GeForce Now also gets more accurate mouse movements, keyboard shortcuts, and a dedicated row for games optimized for keyboard and mouse control in the service itself. More day-and-date releases have been promised for GeForce Now as well including the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
