MWC 2016 is now starting to wrap up, but it’s been one heck of a show. Key among the announcements this week was the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The Galaxy S7 family might not offer the same kind of radical design changes as we saw with the LG G5, but that doesn’t mean Samsung has been sitting idly by.
Last year’s Galaxy S6 gave us a major overhaul in design language. This year’s Galaxy S7 is all about refining this experience, while returning missing features like water/dust resistance and microSD. And you can be sure that Samsung is going to be touting all these changes in a series of upcoming ads – like the one above.
In addition to talking up the key changes in the Galaxy S7, the video also calls the Galaxy S7 a “virtual reality” machine. While this was also true of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 family, it’s not surprising to see Samsung attempting to further market the fact that the Galaxy series has arguably the best mobile VR experience available.
