Lava launched the Lava Pixel V2 smartphone back in September last year priced at Rs. 10,750. Today, the company has launched an upgraded variant of the Pixel V2 called as Lava Pixel V2 3GB in India. The smartphone comes with almost similar features and design as its predecessor, with the major differences being the higher RAM and latest Android OS. The Pixel V2 3GB with improved specifications is also priced similarly at Rs. 10,750 and will be available for purchase via both online and offline platforms across the country.
Coming to the specifications part, the Lava Pixel V2 3GB flaunts same 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with 294ppi as pixel density, Oleophobic coating, and Asahi Dragontrail Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it packs 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. As the name indicates, the smartphone has 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
The Pixel V2 3GB runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based company’s customized OS out of the box. It is the brands first device to come running on the latest Android OS. On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front shooter with 84-degree wide angle lens, f/2.4 aperture for video chats and selfie lovers. Interestingly, the device also features front-facing flash to capture stunning selfie images even in low-light conditions.
The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. The handset comes backed by a 2500mAh battery that the company claims has the energy to last for an entire day of mixed usage. The device very sleek measuring just 7.6 mm thickness weighs around 128 grams and is available in Royal Sparkle Black, Icy White, and Champagne Gold color variants.
