Even with Sony trying to pick up their act by reducing internal leaks, it looks like external carriers can spill the beans; in what looks like a NTT DoCoMo brochure, the newly minted Sony Xperia Z1 is featured alongside what appears to be a mini version of itself. Named the Sony Xperia Z1 f in the brochure, it goes on to list the specifications of the Z1 f including a 2.2GHz processor (same as the Z1), a 4.3-inch, 1280×720 resolution display as well as a 2,300 mAh battery.
These specifications ring true with a rumour we heard several months ago that suggested that a smaller version of the Xperia Z1, then codenamed the Sony Honami, would be created with the same processor as the Xperia Z1 but in a 4.3-inch frame. While the source of this brochure is yet to be confirmed and verified, if true, this Sony Honami Mini, or Xperia Z1 f, will easily be the most powerful 4.3-inch phone on the Android market, putting the other so called ‘mini’ phones to shame.
What do you think about this brochure, think it’s the real deal? And do you think the Sony Xperia Z1 f could really be on the cards? Let us know what you think.
