Images of what is purported to be the successor to the LG Optimus 3D have leaked online
Images of what is said to be the LG Optimus 3D 2 have appeared online.
According to Pocketnow, the images are of a device codenamed LG CX2 that features slightly improved specs over the current generation LG Optimus 3D.
Supposedly, the Optimus 3D 2 has been bumped up to a Texas Instruments 1.2GHz dual core processor, a NOVA autostereoscopic display for enhanced brightness and an NFC chip for mobile payments. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is likely on board.
The previously chunky handset has also been slimmed down to the tune of 2 millimeters.
As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, not much will change from the original LG Optimus 3D - including the 4.3-inch display, 8GB of storage and the 5 megapixel camera.
Hopefully, we will know the complete story when Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona next month.
