The Lenovo IdeaTab S2, complete with optional keyboard dock, can now be purchased in the US. This happens as we’ve already passed six months since the moment the tablet was announced. Better late than never, as they say.
In the process of arriving on the market, the tablet has seen its name changed. It’s now going by Lenovo IdeaTab S2110. A bit less appealing than S2, but whatever. The tablet is now available to buy direct from Lenovo, starting at just $343.20.
For that amount of cash, you get the 16 GB version sans keyboard dock. For $375.20, you get double the storage space. $399.20 is what you’ll need to pay to get the 16 GB tablet together with the keyboard dock, and the most expensive SKU comes in at $431.20 and includes 32 GB of storage and the keyboard dock.
Naturally given its dock, the IdeaTab S2110 will be competing with Asus’ Transformer Pad line of tablets. Lenovo’s first such ‘transforming’ tablet is pretty well priced, though keep in mind that these are introductory offers. In time, the S2110 may get more expensive.
So if you want one, go and get one from Lenovo as soon as possible.
The Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 has a 10.1-inch 1280×800 touchscreen, a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, a 5 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, supposed 10-hour battery life, and it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
