After launching the Vibe K4 Note earlier this year, Lenovo is now getting ready to bring its also budget-friendly successor to India. The device is expected to launch on August 1, and with its release drawing near, Lenovo has been adding to the excitement by releasing teasers about its upcoming smartphone.
Of course, the K5 Note has already been around for a while, with it being launched in China back in January, but a recent tweet from Lenovo India revealed that the Indian variant of the Vibe K5 Note would come with an upgraded 4 GB of RAM, compared to the 2 GB of RAM found with the Chinese iteration. We now have some more information about where we can pick up this exciting device once it is released.
As the tweet suggests, we can expect the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note to be available from Flipkart, and given that these relationships have largely been exclusive in nature with other releases, Flipkart will be the only retailer to sell this smartphone. This isn’t surprising, since the e-commerce giant did also exclusively sell the Lenovo K3 Note, even if its successor, the K4 Note, did go Amazon India’s way.
As a recap, apart from the upgrade in RAM, we can expect this Indian variant to be largely similar to its Chinese counterpart, and should feature a full metal unibody construction, a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a large 3,500 mAh battery, and 4G LTE support. More interestingly, the phone will also come a 1.5W speaker with Dolby ATMOS surround sound, and support for Lenovo’s TheatreMax technology and ANT VR headset for converting games and videos in virtual reality.
The Vibe K5 Note sells for about Rs.11,300 in China, but is expected to be priced a bit higher at approximately Rs 11,999 here in India. You can definitely expect more teasers from Lenovo until the smartphone is launched on August 1, so stay tuned.
