In early 2016, Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Note smartphone in China when the Vibe K4 Note was launched here in India. Now in August 2016, Lenovo had finally launched the Vibe K5 Note along with the upgraded variant of Vibe K5 Plus. Unlike the earlier K-series smartphones, the latest Vibe K5 Note comes with an all metal body. Till date, the company has mentioned to sold over 3 million smartphones under the K-series.
Talking about the Vibe K5 Plus, the company is offering an extra gig of RAM that too at the same Rs. 8,499 price tag. Rest of the specifications of the Vibe K5 Plus remains same, there is a 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, and 16GB of storage. The device also packs 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 2,750mAh battery.
On the other hand, Vibe K5 Note comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and under the hood is the Helio P10 SoC. It includes 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. On the camera front, there is a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a huge 3500mAh battery that can give at least a day of usage.
On the back of Vibe K5 Note is a fingerprint sensor that can be used to capturing images, accessing recently used apps and many more. Both the devices come with dual SIM dual standby and supports 4G LTE. From the back, the Vibe K5 Note looks similar to the Redmi Note 3 with the stereo speaker on the bottom and the rear camera along with fingerprint sensor on the top.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Vibe UI out of the box. The Vibe K5 Note is priced at Rs. 11,999 for 3GB RAM variant and Rs. 13,499 for 4GB RAM variant. Both the device are exclusively sold on Flipkart starting from August 3rd midnight. Lenovo also announced the all new ANT-VR and TheatherMax Controller for controlling the smartphone while viewing VR content.
