Lenovo unveiled the Lenovo Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus smartphones at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona last month. As teased earlier, the brand has today officially launched the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus smartphone in India at an event held in New Delhi. The smartphone comes with decent mid-range specifications and will be targeted towards the affordable category users. Lenovo has also announced that they have sold over 8 million handsets in India and is currently the No.1 online brand.
Coming to the specifications part, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus flaunts a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 441ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone comes equipped with Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM for lag-free and smooth performance. It has 16GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats and perfect selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Vibe UI overlaid, and there is no information about the latest Android Marshmallow update.
The handset powers a 2750mAh battery that the company claims has the juice to take easily you through the day of mixed usage. The smartphone feels premium in hand with aluminum finish and also features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Audio technology for superior sound experience.
