The Droid 4 was a great device when I had it, even though it was stuck on Gingerbread — that is if I wanted to stay on the official track — but now Motorola is making it even better with releasing the ICS build for it. HOORAY!!! We can now all get creamy with our favorite keyboard device.
Earlier this week Verizon approved the latest build from Motorola, 6.16.217, which brings the device to ICS (Android OS 4.0.4) and weighs in at 364Mb — but I doubt you all will care, you’ll find a way to download that update. It was only a matter of time before we would actually get to pull it to our devices, and that time is now. Go into system/about device/software update and check for an update now to get the new build.
Aside from the normal changes coming from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich, be prepared to also enjoy other features such as: greater picture quality, improved gallery performance, global roaming capabilities, less force closes, and Verizon’s Remote Diagnostic’s tool — however great that last one is
