According to a new report, LG is planning to sell over 10 million units of the LG G4 smartphone when it breaks cover later this year. This is a very ambitious approach from the Korean manufacturer as the predecessor only sold about 7 million units since its launch in May last year.
The LG G4 is only beginning to make its way to the rumors now, so we don’t have a good idea on what to expect from the smartphone. Reports have suggested that the device will pack a fingerprint scanner to make it competitive amongst the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone series.
To achieve its goal of selling over 10 million units of the LG G4, it is said that the company will invest more in promotional materials to get the word around. It is said that regions of South Korea, Europe and the U.S. will be focused heavily by the company.
The smartphone should be packing a 2K resolution display like its predecessor, but possibly with a decrease in size to make it more pocket friendly. The handset is also expected to be packing a Snapdragon 810 SoC and other high end features to make it the company’s best handset yet.
