Although we won’t properly see the new G2 flagship smartphone until August 7, today LG has announced QuickWindow – a premium case especially made for the upcoming handset.
As you can see in the photo below, the QuickWindow case features an opening that will let you see various details on the display of the G2 – thanks to a special QuickWindow UX.
The new case will be released “simultaneously with the” G2, coming in seven color versions: white, black, blue, mint, yellow, pink, and purple. Obviously, LG doesn’t say exactly when the G2 will be available. But we heard it might happen only 2 to 3 months after its August 7 announcement.
Samsung is already selling something similar to LG’s QuickWindow: the S View Flip Cover for the Galaxy S4 (currently available for $59.99).
In related news, another LG Android handset that should be introduced soon is the Vu III. Like the G2, this will no longer use the Optimus branding. According to RBMen, the new Vu III features a 1280 x 960 pixels display. Its size is not known, but the aspect ratio has remained unchanged from the previous Vu models – 4:3.
The Vu III will have three model numbers in South Korea (corresponding to each major mobile carrier): F300S, F300L, and F300K. It should be released there pretty soon. We’ll let you know when it happens.
