The LG G3 recently received the Android 5.0 update over-the-air (OTA), but the upgrade isn't without its problems. As the first installment of the new software, Android version 5.0 has a number of bugs and stability issues. Android 5.1 fixes these for the most part, but when is it going to arrive to the LG G3? Find out all of the latest LG G3 Android update news here.
Earlier this year, Verizon was hit by a faulty Android 5.0 Lollipop update that caused bugs and crashes for the network's users. Now, an update to Lollipop, called 'VS98524B' is being rolled out to Verizon users to fix the errors.
There are a couple of new features with the update too, including a Bluetooth button that you can tap during calls to toggle your Bluetooth headset on and off. Under Quick Settings, you'll also find the Lollipop Interrupt feature, which gives you more control over your notifications than the cumbersome Priority Mode.
LG has been tight-lipped on the status of its Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the LG G3, and we're left speculating on exactly when it will arrive. We do know that the LG G Flex 2 has received the Android 5.1.1 update in Korea (as pointed out by GSMArena.com in late May), and the LG G4 launched with Android 5.1 and UX 4.0 (the latest version of LG's own user-interface).
The next big device LG is likely to be working on updating is the LG G3, so now we're playing the waiting game. We've reached out to LG for comment on when the update is likely to land and we will let you know if and when we get a response.

T-Mobile LG G3 update
The T-Mobile LG G3 Android Lollipop update arrived at the start of April. The update pushes the LG G3 to software version D85120b and can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) or via manual download.
Sprint LG G3 update
Sprint updated the LG G3 to Android Lollipop back in February, but it has today released another minor upgrade to LG's flagship from last year.
Sadly, it's not Android 5.1.1, instead Sprint has added "Factory Reset Protection" to its latest LG G3 software (version number LS990ZVA).
This Android 5.0 feature (curiously missing from the original LG G3 5.0 update) means a password needs to be used in order to factory reset the device, making it harder for thieves to remove data from a stolen phone.
It's nice to have this function now on Sprint's LG G3s but, disappointingly, there's still no sign of Android 5.1.1.
