The announcement of LG’s upcoming flagship and the successor to the critically acclaimed LG G2 is fast approaching. The curtains will be lifted off later this month on 27th. Ever since we knew that the phablet exists, we’ve been hearing a lot of speculations about the upcoming G3, some of them showed us the new UI that will be accompanying it, while others were allegedly hinting towards the specifications and the display of the upcoming LG G3.
Now thanks to GSMArena, we have a solid report on what the LG G3 will be sporting. Seems like the phone will come in two different variants that won’t have much difference apart from the memory they’ll be offering.
LG G3 will be having two different versions, as for the screen. The good news is that it will be QHD as the earlier speculations suggested, the screen size will be 5.5 inches, as for the pixel density, the LG G3′s screen will have an insane pixel density of 534ppi. It’s pretty obvious to say that the G3 will be having a comparatively larger foot print as compared to it’s predecessor, but the good thing is that the phablet will also be relatively slimmer than the G2 which will make up for the additional size.
Those who are wondering about the memory, well, LG G3 will come with 16 GB internal memory and 2 gigs of RAM. Not impressed? There’s another variant that will have 32 gigs of internal storage and 3 gigs of RAM to help satisfy your tech lust. Moving on, both the variants will come with micro SD expansion slots so there’s nothing much to worry about. Apart from that, the LG G3 will be coming with a 3,000 mAh battery, as for the rear camera, it’s confirmed by the source that the G3 will be having a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, the camera will also offer OIS (Optical Image Stablisation) giving it an edge over other smart phone cameras, the OIS was first introduced in the LG G Pro 2 that was announced at MWC, earlier this year, the front camera is said to be 2.1 mega pixel capable of recording FHD videos. LG G3 will be running on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box with LG’s own customisation on top.
As for the processor, LG G3 is alleged to have a quad core Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood. However, other details are rather scarce at the moment. The official announcement will be done on 27th May, later this year. It’s pretty clear that LG will also reveal the pricing and availability of the LG G3. Stay tuned for more.
