Do you own an LG G3 or are planning to buy one specifically for the amazing screen? If you don’t or aren’t, then this just may convince you.
It was in June when the YouTube app received support for video quality controls and while it was previously limited to 720p at first, I can now watch full 1080p YouTube videos on my Nexus 5 without a problem.
However, LG G3 users (and many future QHD devices to come) will have the ability to watch YouTube videos in 1440p which is the same as QHD, 2K, 2560×1440, or whatever you may call it. The Galaxy Note 4 is also expected to come with one so if you are planning on getting that, you’ll be in for a treat.
I haven’t tried testing this feature on tablets that currently come with a 1600p display so if you own one, leave a comment below and tell us if you do see the option.
