LG and Samsung, the two Korean rivals will fight it out for android supremacy come feb 21st. the next superphones from these manufacturers, LG G5 and Galaxy S7 are scheduled to be unveiled on the same day.
It is given that the galaxy s7 has an edge in terms of popularity but that isn’t stopping LG from firing on all cylinders and loading up the phone with every imaginable feature. It is rumoured that the LG G5 will feature a metal body design. But unlike the note 5 or the galaxy s6, it will have a removable battery via a detaching bottom.
Other features include an excellent Qhd 5.6-inch display. LG is moving the volume buttons from the back to the left side of the phone. Thin bezels on all sides gives the phone a smaller footprint than the phones with same screen size.
LG is also rumoured to have included the microSD card slot for expanding the memory, a bigger battery than its predecessors. The processor powering the phone will be the snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB of ram. The fingerprint sensor and the home button is housed on the back of the phone.
An updated camera module is also at the back and the 3d renders show that LG has opted for dual camera setup for advanced imaging.
On the Samsung side, the galaxy s7 will come with more or less similar hardware specs but with 5.1-inch screen size. The s7 edge will have a 5.5-inch curved display. Some of the other traits include a fingerprint sensor and Samsung pay capabilities. Samsung has also included some features that have been inspired from the iPhone like the live photos and 3d touch like capabilities.
All these speculation lead to an interesting duel between two phone that will mark the pinnacle of the current generation of phones.
