Its bigger brother, the LG L90, is set to arrive at T-Mobile later this month – and the LG L70 should land at MetroPCS. The L70 and L90 are both members of LG’s new L Series III, unveiled earlier this year before MWC.
These are Android-powered smartphones that cater to the lower-midrange market, bringing adequate specs to decent price points. MetroPCS is clearly going to offer the LG L70 at some point in the future. We know this thanks to a leaked press render showing the handset in all its glory, complete with carrier branding.
So that’s what it will look like. Spec-wise, it should be extremely similar, if not identical, to its internationally-sold sibling. Thus, you can expect to see a a 4.5-inch 800×480 IPS touchscreen, either an 8 MP or a 5 MP rear camera, a VGA front camera, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 2,100 mAh battery. The L70 will run Android 4.4 KitKat from day one, which is nice for a non-flagship. That said, don’t expect LG to ever issue any updates to this device.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, hopefully MetroPCS will make the L70 official soon. We’ll keep you posted.
