Ready for another rumor regarding the still-upcoming LG Nexus 5? Good then. We’ve heard before that we should expect the handset to finally become available on October 31 (that’s next Thursday, by the way). And today that date got ‘confirmed’ once more by a new rumor, leak, whatever you want to call it. This one originates in Canada (which is probably irrelevant, but maybe you wanted to know).
On October 31, it says, you’ll be able to pick up the Nexus 5 from the Google Play Store. Canadian carriers will have the device in stock on November 7 or November 8. Remember, we’ve seen the Nexus 5 leak in render form with the logo of one Canadian carrier (Telus) slapped on it, so this makes sense. Interestingly, the Nexus 5 is also said to be available at Rogers, Bell, Koodo, and Virgin Mobile.
This means that if you’re in Canada and for some reason want to get the Nexus 5 through a carrier and not from the Play Store, you’re pretty much covered unless your contract is with one of the really small ones.
Obviously, the usual precautions apply. Take this with a grain (or more) of salt, and all that. It’s just a rumor, remember?
