LG's 4.7-inch Optimus LTE 2 will feature an HD IPS display and a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. The LG VS930 version of the Optimus LTE 2 will also likely sport Verizon 4G LTE and a global radio.
Additional specs for the LG Optimus LTE 2 include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and an insane, HDR-capable, 8-megapixel camera. The smartphone also purportedly runs Android 4.0 ICS and has LG's all-new, refined UI on top.
So, just how do we actually know it will be launching on Verizon? Well, for starters the model number, LG VS930, falls in line with all previous Verizon LG smartphones. The Revolution, the carrier’s first 4G LTE smartphone from LG was VS910 and the LG Spectrum, which launched earlier this year, was VS920.
The Optimus LTE 2 is slated to launch this week in Korea and will be rolled out to other countries soon. The device is rumored to be launching in the U.S. this summer, so it may be launching on Verizon then. We'll just have to see.
Hopefully, we'll hear something official from Verizon soon. The Optimus LTE 2 looks like an amazing smartphone.
