Although it was released at about the same time with the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the LG Optimus Vu II ran Android Ice Cream Sandwich at launch, unlike Samsung’s handset, which came with Jelly Bean out of the box.
Fortunately, today LG has started rolling out an official JB update for the Optimus Vu II in Korea. The smartphone’s editions available via SK Telecom and KT should get the new version of the OS as of today, February 26, while the edition sold by LG U+ is expected to get it starting March.
Just like the first Optimus Vu, the Vu II is a square-ish device that sports a 5 inch display with 1024 x 768 pixels. Other features include LTE connectivity, a special stylus, an 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and MicroSD card support.
