The International Consumer Electronics Show 2016 is merely weeks away and just like every year we expect to see lots of good announcements coming from the convention. LG has used this stage previously to unveil several new handsets but be advised that you may not be treated to a new G Flex handset this time around, a rumor claims that LG is going to dump its G Flex lineup in favor of a successor to the V10, a relatively new handset that it launched recently.
Rumor has it that contrary to the assumption that LG is going to unveil at G Flex 3 at CES next year the company is actually not going to show off this handset, instead it’s diverting its energies towards the development of other flagship smartphones like a successor to the V10.
LG’s G Flex lineup has been an interesting one as through it the company shows off its flexible OLED display technology, however reception for the G Flex 2 was a bit mixed due to rumors about overheating issues with the Snapdragon 810 processor.
It’s claimed that instead of launching a new G Flex handset in the coming year LG is going to unveil a new V10 smartphone by the second half of 2016, maybe soon after its LG G5 flagship is unveiled in April 2016.
Obviously there’s no confirmation about any of this as yet from LG so take this rumor with a grain of salt.
