LG’s current flagship device, the Optimus G, might be getting a successor soon, the ‘LG Optimus G Pro’. Rumors circulated at CES that LG would be releasing a new device (suspected to be Optimus G2), but alas… the rumors proved false, as CES came and went, with no mention of the new device from LG.
The disappointment was not without cause. As leaks of the supposed new successor of the Optimus G line Show. The Optimus G Pro will be a larger 1080p HD screen with a 3,000mAh battery. Carrying a 13-megapixel rear and 2.4 megapixel front camera, all powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor , with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage running 4.1 Jellybean.
The new device is rumored to be slated for a release on Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, very soon. Rocking multiple colors in “Platinum White” and “Indigo Black”, the Optimus G Pro looks to add to an already impressive spec sheet on the original Optimus G. No word on when this device will hit stateside, but we will be keeping our eye out and letting you know as the details unfold.
