Although we’ve been hearing about LG’s new Prada K2 Android phone (model number P940) since July, the handset has yet to be officially announced. But it’s almost certainly coming soon, and the fact that the FCC has approved it yesterday sustains this affirmation.
The FCC confirms that the Prada K2 has Wi-Fi, NFC, HSUPA, and Bluetooth. Unfortunately, the Commission didn’t unveil other details for now. However, we’ve previously heard that the new LG smartphone would be just 9mm thin, featuring a very bright 4.3 inch display, dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.
It remains to be seen what version of Android the LG Prada K2 will run. If LG decides to launch it before the end of the year, it will likely be 2.3 Gingebread (but that doesn’t mean Ice Cream Sandwich is out of the question).
