How wonderful would it feel to be able to customize color and text of the lock screen date on iPhone! You feel a kind of freedom and that is what the new jailbreak tweak ‘LockDate’ brings to you. If you love themes, this tweak is the perfect way to add individuality to your iDevice.
LockDate for iPhone is a free tweak in the BigBoss Repo that has recently come to Cydia from developer Arash Amini. It enables you to customize the color, font, and size of the date on the lockscreen. You can get varied calendar types and replace them by a simple swipe of the date.
The iOS interface design is such that even a slight change to it changes your iPhone to a new device. There are different themes in the Cydia store for this purpose but you don’t get the desired kind of control with them on your iDevice. And that’s where LockDate comes in. It is especially for the customization fans.
How you go about customizing:
On installation, the tweak appears in the form of a new menu in the stock settings app.
You can begin personalizing the tweak from there.
Go in the text menu and select the gesture you want to get the date area alternate between the week day and time of month.
Then you may select a calendar type from the given options.
After that you can select a particular display format and apply Date Correction
You can even use options in other menus of LockDate to change the looks of the date appearing on the lockscreen. Though the font options are limited, you can adjust the font size through a slider
LockDate is considered too precise yet trendy enough. You can give it a try by heading to the BigBoss repo in the Cydia store. But, before that you need to jailbreak your device to install this tweak.
