Well, IFA has drawn to a close and what a week it was – busy, hectic but fun and enjoyable to meet you guys as always.
Sony Mobile was at the heart of the Sony booth, highlighting the convergence of our products, it was great to see the journey and vision we set out at CES in January all coming together…
We announced new additions to the Xperia family; Xperia T, Xperia V, Xperia J and Xperia Tablet S, along with new Smart Tags, NFC Wireless Speaker, TV Dock (for Xperia T/TX) and a revamped Smart Connect app – that’s not to mention the whole host of other cool stuff Sony revealed!
However, what really stood out for me was how these devices connect you to the entertaining, magical world of Sony. Xperia is the portal to your social lifestyle and a gateway to a converged ecosystem of both services, devices and experiences.
Whether it be throwing and enjoying music on different devices with a simple one-touch using NFC, screen-mirroring movies from your smartphone onto a HD TV, syncing your snaps and films across Xperia smatphone, tablet and VAIO with Sony’s media applications or organising and thumb-bashing PS Mobile games on Vita and Xperia Tablet S – the only limit is your imagination .
As usual, I’ve asked the Xperia blog team to share their key highlights from the event – so without further ado…
“I would have to go with every indication pointing to the fact that technology is finally converging to make life easier for folks – it’s innovation to fits people’s lifestyles, rather than forcing people to adapt to a new technology. It’s great to see.”
“I’m going with our new “One-touch” function; the ability to share content instantly to other devices is mind-blowing! Being the music-junkie I am, I would have to say throwing tunes to our new Wireless Speaker via NFC was a personal head-turner!”
“Because I can now: the announcement that Xperia T will be part of 007′s arsenal of gadgetry in upcoming mission, Skyfall – if that isn’t exciting, I don’t know what is!”
Check out our video above for a flavour of the week that was :-)
