The critically acclaimed, if commercially unsuccessful Wii title LostWinds is on its way to Android, according to Eurogamer.
Frontier Developments boss David Braben – responsible for the groundbreaking Elite back in the 80s, not to mention Archimedes classic Virus amongst others – told journalists at the Develop conference in Brighton yesterday that LostWinds will launch on Android, iPad and iPhone.
Eurogamer has seen the game running on an iPad, with the game’s star Toku being controlled using a virtual joypad and wind effects being created using the touchscreen but no firm release date has been announced.
“It works very well with the Wii controller motions, but it also works on a touch interface in a very similar fashion,” Braben told Eurogamer.
