A new variant of Xiaomi Mi4 has been spotted on the Singapore IDA database. The same device also appeared on the GeekBench3 website. The smartphone has been named as “Xiaomi Mi4i”. Going through it’s specs, the smartphone looks like a low-end version of the company’s flagship Mi4 smartphone.
According to the GeekBench3 results, the Xiaomi Mi4 will be powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor coupled with 2GB RAM and will run on Android 5.0.2 OS.
It is interesting to note that Xiaomi has announced an event in New Delhi on April 23. The company made the announcement via a tweet, which read “i IS COMING. Register for our global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi on 23 April.” Xiaomi Mi4i might have been the reason why the teaser stressed so much on “i is coming”.
Xiaomi has requested all Mi fans to register for the event. The Xiaomi India site further reveals that the event will see CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin, and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra, in attendance.
