The long-rumored Lumia 530 leaked online today, showing its face in a blurry Windows Phone buying guide spotted by Geek For Gadgets. The image shows off the upcoming mid-range handset alongside the Lumia 635 and Lumia 930, which Nokia announced last month during Microsoft’s BUILD developer conference.
It looks like the Lumia 530 will pack a 4.3-inch display compared to the 4-inch Lumia 520. It also offers onscreen buttons, no front-facing camera and runs Windows Phone 8.1. Finally, Nokia’s logo is clearly visible on the device, suggesting it’s been in development since before Microsoft bought the Finnish phone-maker earlier this year. Microsoft Mobile is the name of the new division, so it’s possible we’ll see Microsoft Mobile Lumia branding in the future.
The Lumia 530 definitely won’t be the flashiest device around, but it’s still expected to be a big seller following the success of the Lumia 520. It looks like this could be the first smartphone Microsoft unveils after swallowing up Nokia’s mobile business, and it should be interesting to see how the company presents its new product line. Hopefully we’ll get an official look at the Lumia 530 in the very near future.
