It has been a couple of years since the Lumia line showed off any flagship phone. Dedicated Windows Phone users were left clutching on to their Lumia 1020s and 1520s or left for greener pastures where new phones seem to come out more regularly. Mind you, Windows (and more importantly Microsoft) has gone through a lot of change and growth in the last few years. Part of that changed involved relaunching Lumia under the Microsoft brand and included the launch of Windows 10. So any new phone was out, as long as it didn’t meet the hardware standards of the new operating system.
Today though, we finally got a glimpse of the new Lumia handsets. Long time fans and new users should be excited about the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Especially considering these new phones are packed to the brim with great features that can be found on the best speced phones on the market. We’re talking features like NFC, wireless charging, 20MP camera, large display, upgradable storage up to 2TB and even the ability to run your phone as a full-fledged PC.
So are you willing to jump on the Lumia train? How does the Lumia 950 compare to the Galaxy S6? That is, at least on paper. You’ll have to wait for our full review to find out more. But for now we can delve into the specs of these devices and see what stands out.
Check out the specs in the table below. What do you think? Does the Lumia 950 have enough to convince users to switch? Or at least inspire developers to stick with Windows 10 for phones?
