Manual, a great app for the serious iPhone photographer, has just received its first major update.
Highlighting version 1.1 is a revamped interface that looks really nice on the high-resolution screen of my iPhone 6 Plus. Photographers should also be happy to see that the shutter and ISO controls are larger and easier to use.
A new full-time focus control bar will also allow for quick adjustments when needed.
Here are the rest of the changes:
Focus zoom to check focus. Volume button shutter. Optional shutter delay for long exposures. Improved photo viewer. Fixed bug with slow shutter speeds.
Manual originally arrived on the App Store in late September. As the name suggests, the app allowscomplete control over shutter speed, ISO, white balance, focus, and exposure bracketing.
If Manual doesnt sound like your style, there are also a wealth of other camera apps you can try for the iPhone. Some of my favorites include Camera+ and ProCamera 8, which earlier this week received a nice update featuring an improved HDR mode and more.
