Socialeyes, the spontaneous activities application for Apples iPhone and iPod touch, has received a nice update making a wide-ranging number of changes to the free application.
Aside from a complete change in branding and faster sign-ups for iPhone owners, Socialeyes now boasts a brand new (and much nicer) user interface thats far more minimalistic than the previous version of the application. Hand in hand with this more refined user interface is a simpler posting feature, improved friend invitations, and social profiles for users. In fact, a slew of changes have been made in version 2.0.0 of the app, including:
Complete change in branding
Total user interface change
Simplified posting feature
Introduction of gamification concept and leaderboard
Social profile of the user added
Advanced notification system
New activities added
Improved friend invitation
Joining to an activity feature
No need to mention a friend on comment section for a conversation
Faster signup and intro
That being said, the kind of results Socialeyes pulls up are at least here, in England a little wacky. After testing the app, it seems Socialeyes presentsthe same, or at least a fairly similar, set of results each time users choose a search category regardless of the category itself. For example, supermarkets, gyms, beauty salons, and mechanics are all listed under Socialeyes Movies category.
