Metrico has been a bit of anomaly for me ever since its announcement. This is a game I’d often heard about in passing, though I never actually saw it played in person. That’s odd, of course, since my whole job centers around seeing games like this one.
Metrico is a 2D-ish puzzle platformer centred around infographics. It’s a PS Vita game, and it supposedly makes use of the PS Vita’s unique hardware (the rear touchpad, for instance). That was about the extent of my knowledge on this game.
I’m picking it up no matter what when the store updates later today. That’s because it’s a free day one release title for PlayStation Plus members. You might be nabbing it, too.
For those on the fence, though, the PlayStation Blog has put together a hands-on video that actually shows the game in motion with a little explanation. Hooray. You’ll see that all the way at the top of this post.
We’ll have our formal opinions regarding Metrico for you by the week’s end. Until then, get ready to think about infographics. Yes!
