Micromax has recently launched its flagship Micromax Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro in India. Both the smartphones come with similar specifications and are also priced at Rs. 13,999. The only difference is the Micromax Canvas 6 sports an all-metal body and also includes a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. Today, the company has officially released the successor of Canvas Mega called as Micromax Canvas Mega 2 in India. The phablet priced at Rs. 7,999 comes with basic specifications and is available for purchase via both online and offline platforms across the country.

Coming to the specifications part, The Canvas Mega 2 flaunts a 6-inch (960×540 pixels) IPS qHD display and comes powered by MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on older Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Like other Micromax devices, the phablet also comes with many bloatware applications.
It includes 4G-LTE support along with other basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. On the camera cordon, the phablet sports an 8MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper for video chats and selfie lovers. The handset powers a 3000mAh battery that the company claims can easily last for an entire day of mixed usage and comes in Black color option.
