The news comes from Evleaks, which generally has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaking mobile devices. Apparently the device is back in production, though it’s still too soon to say for sure. After Microsoft failed to produce a Surface Mini earlier this year we’re curious to see what the company did with its extra time.
Evleaks also has a bit more Microsoft news to share, allegedly revealing two more smartphones the company is currently developing with its recently-acquired Nokia team. First is the Lumia 1525, a refreshed version of the 6-inch Lumia 1520 with a Snapdragon 801 processor and Windows Phone 8.1 The upcoming phablet should launch on T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T, though it’s unclear when the device will hit the market.
Finally, Evleaks claims Nokia is developing another Android-powered handset. Unlike the Nokia X, however, this one will come with Lumia branding. We have trouble believing Microsoft is developing its own Android handset, though we’re not willing to rule out the possibility entirely.
