The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 may be a couple years old, but many of you are probably still using it… just not much when unplugged. This is because the Windows tablet has been plagued with short battery life issues. The reason? We had no idea until this week.
Microsoft has finally come forward and addressed a problem they should have taken care of a long time ago. Microsoft employee Greg has taken it to the company’s forums to let us know the issue lies in the computer’s software. The batteries seem to work perfectly.
Microsoft claims they have isolated the problem to a small number of users. If you are one of them, this will come as good news. Software problems can be easily fixed. Further instructions on fixing the battery woes will be published in the same forums post when available. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the fix!
We are definitely glad to see Microsoft addressing this discrepancy. After all, what good is a tablet if you can’t really take it on-the-go? Have you been having battery problems with the Surface Pro 3? How bad are they? Hit the comments to let us know!
