Our friend @Pootermobile let us know about this cross platform app called MOLOME today. What it is, is a FREE Photo Sharing Social Network for smartphone users the world over. It’s cute, addicting and totally freaking rad! . . if you ask me.
Developer Hua Lampong Limited plans to release MOLOME on more devices in the coming weeks. But at the moment it is only available to BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 users.
− Fast camera access for instant sharing − 14 magical filters, including the all time popular Vignette, Parlo, Croosy, Old Paper, Vintage, Sepia and Black & White − New filters for MOLOME Blackberry release: Rainbow − Sharing to MOLOME network, Facebook and Twitter − Earn Badges − Follow and view Friends’ photos − View Popular photos − Love and comment photos − Notification − Easy view and update your own profile & photo − Optimize performance for Blackberry devices − Fast upload speed − 100% free and unlimited photo uploads − 640×480 screen resolution are fully supported
Also please keep in mind, for BlackBerry users MOLOME is still in the beta phases. I wasn’t aware of this at first though and noticed the app was taking a while to load after the initial set up and first use. A quick jump to the application permissions revealed App World set them as it’s regular ‘custom’ thresholds. I of course changed them all to ‘ALLOW ALL’ and the app has been loading much quicker now.
Now I may have only spent about 12 hours with MOLOME but it’s enough to know I see a bright future for this type of client in Team BlackBerry. Much like other popular photo sharing clients MOLO will let you vote on other users pics, collect special badges, tweet, upload to Facebook, and more! Go into your profile, add some friends and leave them comments on their photos, tell them you Love It!
Don’t let me forget all the beautiful filters you can use with your photos! Finally I’m using a BlackBerry device and my pictures can look really professional. Shoot more quality pics and the Owl will get you special gifts, including more filters. This is easily going to be one of my favorite applications. More to come in the future. For those of you with a Bold 9900 or 9930, grab a copy and let us know how you like it/love it!
