As is already well known, there is a new Kindle Fire waiting to be unleashed on Sept 6 and till that time comes, rumors will certainly be flying thick and fast. This again is quite natural as the general trend is, more high profile the launch, more is the speculation surrounding it.
Coming back to the Amazon Sept 6 event, there seems to be certain changes in the story. For instance a 10 inch sized Kindle Fire variant does not seem to hold much water now and a generation upgrade of the Kindle Fire is what seems most acceptable right now. As per CNET, there will be two Kindle Fire tablets both of 7 inch dimension and one of them would bear close resemblance to the ones they had launched last year. The OS however would most probably be Android 4.0 ICS. It would bear a lower price tag compared to the last year’s model.
Verge too had released some pictures that is supposed to be that of the upcoming Kindle Fire. With all the facts put together, what seems a possibility is that the first gen Kindle Fire would be tweaked with an OS upgrade to Android ICS along with a few other enhancements. It can be priced lower to ensure it continues to be in demand. Worth mentioning here, the Kindle Fire had gone on to be the bestseller at Amazon and the retail giant has always been a champion with their pricing strategy. As for the new Kindle Fire, better hardware design like thinner bezels and better internals like a powerful processor is almost a surety.
Check back often to get all the details of the upcoming device as it emerges.
