It’s well within the public domain that the second gen Moto G will be shown off during the company’s September 4 event in Chicago. However, there were little to no details on what to expect from this new midrange offering. But thanks to a leak from HelloMotoHK, we’re getting an early look at what to expect next Thursday.
From this varied set of images, it’s clear that the Moto G2 will sport front facing speakers, much like what we saw on the Moto E a few months ago. The camera on the back is said to be an 8-megapixel unit, which is an upgrade from the predecessor. The display, according to the source, is a 5 inch panel with a 720p resolution. There’s also believed to be a 1.2 GHz quad core processor on the inside and 1GB of RAM, so it’s only a marginal improvement from the Moto G.
Considering that the Moto G was the company’s highest selling smartphone, the successor is of equal significance to the company. By the looks of it, it seems like the Moto G2 will be a larger version of the Moto G with a better camera and some other nifty upgrades.
