The Android 5.1 update could soon make its way to Moto X smartphones as the company is already believed to be sending soak test invites for the update. Android 5.1 only recently made its way to Nexus devices, so the turnaround time from Motorola has been pretty quick.
We must mention however that the update has still not begun rolling out to the masses, but that could change soon if there are no issues found in the soak test. According to the change log posted by Motorola on its website, the update will bring some camera related updates to the device, which is a welcome addition for the users.
Other updates such as Device Protection and improved WiFi/Bluetooth toggles in the Quick Settings menu are on board as well. Although Motorola rolls out a relatively stock version of Android for its smartphones, it adds some of its unique features to make it stand out from the rest of the pack.
