Earlier in August when Motorola announced the much acclaimed Moto X smartphone, it was revealed that the Moto Maker variant would get a wide variety of user customizable features including the ability to add a personal engraving on the back of the smartphone. However, this feature was slowly sidetracked before the launch due to printing related issues. However, it seems like the feature could soon make a comeback to the scene. Motorola has teased the inevitable by posting three different images on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ with a custom engraving synonymous with users of the particular social network.
However, Motorola has merely teased the idea and not given out specific details yet so we’re not sure when to expect it. The Moto Maker variant of the Moto X is all set to be opened to Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile soon which might be the ideal time for the reintroduction of this feature. Custom engravings make the device that much more personal for the users and serve a bigger purpose than just cosmetic appeal.
