Only yesterday did we come across a leak of the Moto X+1 which showed off the front of the smartphone with some word on the specs sheet as well. Today, the same source has revealed a video of the smartphone showing the boot animation of the device. It’s clear that this is a pre-production unit as we can see the confidentiality sticker on the device, so it appears to be legitimate.
What’s slightly surprising though is the mention of Motorola as a “Google company”. This makes us feel if this is a very early version of the Moto X+1 prototype. So don’t read too much into it at the moment. It is clear however that the boot animation is new and something we haven’t seen before on a Motorola smartphone. The company is known for its unique and innovative boot animations, so this has certainly piqued our interest.
The source says that this is only the first part from a total of five leaks, so we might be treated with more leaks in the coming days. The Moto X+1 is expected to feature a 5 inch 1080p display, a quad core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB storage options. The Moto X was launched in August last year, so it doesn’t seem like we have to wait long to get a look at the successor.
